Together’s Forensic Mental Health Practitioner Service

This was the fourth and final of our National Enquiries being held across the country. This independent and objective enquiry explored the views of criminal justice sector practitioners and experts around the country to hear their perspectives on what works best; community or custody? Together’s Forensic Mental Health Practitioner (FMHP) Service work closely with court and probation services across London. By cutting the number of custody remands for vulnerable offenders and diverting them towards more effective community management of their mental health and social care needs.
Prior to the evidence gathering session and audience debate, the team of panellists visited Camberwell Green Magistrates Court where one of the FMHP services. The afternoon session was held at the Livery Hall at Guildhall, London which was generously sponsored by the City Bridge Trust.
